Dear Sammy,

If I was never able to see you again I want you to know that you are truly one of my best friends. We have no limits when we talk to each other. We can talk about any subject with each other and it really means the world to me. You have helped me through so much believe it or not. When I feel sad, alone, or just happy you are always here for me. We can talk about relationships (potato chips) or boys being just plain stupid and we completely understand each other. We talk about subjects that would make people run away! Even if you rather live in a green gummy bear house and not a red one, I love you. It is funny how I have only known you for one year and I feel as close to you as I do Sidney (who I met in third grade). I love you Sammich!

Lots of Love,
Sara

Who inspires me?

The person that inspires me would be Neil Patrick Harris because he makes everything legen... wait for it... dary (How I Met Your Mother reference)! He does not change who he is for anyone! He loves his partner David Burtka with all his heart and I think it is adorable he calls David his better half. Most people do not agree with the same gender relationships with one another but I think it is adorable that they found true love. I could care less who they are as long as they love each other. Some people may never find true love so those who do are lucky. Neil and David make a great example that same gender parents are just like male/female parents. Even though I am not someone who likes the same gender, I find Neil Patrick Harris to be inspiring to not change for anyone. We are all equals.

Candy Land!

If I could live anywhere I would live in Candy Land! In Candy Land the river is made of chocolate milk and the grass is icing! There would be an unlimited amount of candy and everyone is polite and sweet. There is no jail in Candy Land because there is no crime. My house would be a giant red gummy bear. There would not be cars because exercise is needed to walk off the candy. I would have cat made of cookies! In Candy Land everyone is happy and no one ever feels sad or alone. None of the candy ever goes bad and always stays fresh. There is also a magical spell in Candy Land where no one gets fat or sick of candy. Queen BubbleGum, the nicest Queen of all, runs Candy Land. For these reasons I wish I could live in Candy Land, the happiest place ever.

If Money Was No Object

(Song - Little Things by One Direction)

Reflection
Doing this project made me realize a few things such as I very much dislike computers and their dark magic, my friends and I have very different ideas of things we want to do, and lastly that not everyone is a wizard with a computer. I learned I am much better with projects that I can touch like poster boards and not projects that can get lost in this great abyss called the internet.

What would I miss the most?

If I had no electricity I think I would miss my cellphone the most. I only say this because this is how I am able to contact my friends quickly. If there was no electricity we would have to send letters to our friends and that would take too long. People may say that you could just walk or drive and talk to someone but that is not always possible. My grandparents live in West Virginia and without my cellphone I would have to wait days before even receiving their message and if it were an emergency I would not find out in time. Without my cellphone I would not be able to talk to my friends or my boyfriend! I can not just see these people everyday even though I wish I could. Some of my friends live too far away for me to be able to just go vist them anytime I want. I am not one of those people who is on their cellphone all the time but I still feel like it is most important to me. I know there was a time before phones but this is now.

Sarah's Key

My favorite book would have to be Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. Tatiana de Rosnay was born September 28, 1961 in Paris. Since 1992, de Rosnay has published twelve books in French and only three books in English. Her most popular book just happens to be Sarah's Key. Sarah's Key in about two people. One is Sarah Starzynski, a ten-year-old Jewish girl from Paris. The other is Julia Jarmond an American journalist living in Paris. Julia is writing an article for the sixtieth anniversary of the Vel' d'Hiv Roundup (a round up of jews in Paris). Sarah's parents and her are being arrestes durin the Vel' d'Hiv Roundup and she does not want her little four-year-old brother to stay behind, yet he refuses to leave the long, deep cupboard hidden in the wall. Sarah then locks him in so no one can find him. He had water, a flashlight, a Comtesse de Ségur book, and his favorite teddy bear in the cupboard. Sarah did not know how long it would be before she could return home. Julia discovers Sarah's name and finds out what happened to her. This is probably my favorite book because it is unlike like any book I have ever read before. I had to wait so long to find out what happened to Sarah and her family. I never wanted to put the book down and I just found out it is a movie!

Dreams and Regrets

Most people choose a job they do not like compared to their dream job because they want more money. Extrinsic motivations tell people that they should pick the job with more money while an intrinsic motivation tells them what they really want. Through the use of metaphors, Frost conveys a message of pursing a dream but finding too many regrets in the way in “After Apple-Picking”.
Frost uses metaphors to show regret. Frost says, “And there’s a barrel that I didn't fill/Besides it and there may be two or three/Apples I didn't pick upon some brough.”(L 3-5). Here Frost is saying there are a few things he regrets. He sees them but can not do anything with them now.
Another metaphor Frost uses shows dreams. Frost states, “Magnified apples appear and reappear,” (L 18). Here Frost uses apples as a dream. He also uses them to show pride in his work and he is proud of his work. With this, Frost was able to compare his dreams and regrets.
In “After Apple-Picking”, Frost conveys a message of someone’s regrets getting in the way of their dreams and them achieving greater. Regrets should never get in the way of someone’s dreams because they are the past and they can not change it. If I could have a good paying job or open my own pizzeria I would have to choose my own pizzeria because I love making pizza and in the end if I do not make a whole bunch of money at least I can say I am happy.

The Blue Captain America Cup

The cups that started a war (and yes I have a cat face painted on my face).
If I could change one thing that previously happened in my life it would be fighting with my best friend over a cup! On October 17, 2012, after school my "ex" best friend Sidney Carol Handyside took my blue Captain America cup after I had used it! See Sidney and I come home from school and if she comes over the first thing we do is make Ramon Noodles or a sandwich and have a drink. When I went to get cups I grabbed my Captain America cups (one blue and one red), I gave her the RED cup and I gave myself the BLUE cup. Later when we went to get more to drink she grabbed the blue cup and said she had used it but she had not used that cup because I used it. We fought for at least a good four hours and we are still continuing this fight! She sits on a throne of lies. If this never happened I am sure we would still be best friends, but we can not until she tells me that she was lying and is sorry! The blue cup was mine. People may think this is a stupid fight but it is the first fight and the biggest fight Sidney and I have ever got into. Sure it would have been resolved if we had got new cups but Sidney and I both like to be right. So if I could change anything it would be not having this fight.

Cooking

My favorite hobby would probably have to be cooking! Before any guys tell me to go make them a sandwich, I must say that I respect myself and will not be some sort of joke. I'm happiest when I cook because my food is my creation and my reward is also the food! From making simple things such as Ramon Noodles in the microwave, to making pizza one-hundred percent by myself. Food is comfort and cooking is magic! As Julia Child once said:

"People who love to eat are always the best people."
-Julia Child

The movie "Julie & Julia" is one of my favorite movies because I watch two amazing cooks cook amazing food that makes me want to cook and eat even more! Without cooking, the world would be dull and tasteless. Cooking is the best hobby for someone who loves to eat, just like me! Do not be fooled by my size, I love foo and cooking!

Classic Rock & The Beatles ♥

My favorite type of music would be classic rock. I am not one hundred percent sure why I like classic rock the most. I think it is because that is my dad's favorite type of music so I grew up listening to KISS, ACDC, Rick Springfield and so on. My favorite band would definitely have to be The Beatles! Out of all the bands I like, such as One Direction, Neon Trees, and Fun., I would say The Beatles have always been my favorite. In my opinion, The Beatles made great music. I would rather listen to a song about how a guy wants to hold a girls hand than a song about how many "chicks" a guy got; it is classy and sweet. Another reason they are my favorite band is because most of their songs are happy songs and I would rather listen to songs that will make me happy and not some depressing song about heartbreak. I am madly in love with their song Blackbird and All My Loving! If you asked any of my friends about me, I am sure they would say "She is obsessed with The Beatles!".

Day Care

I do not think the government should provide child day care centers for working parents because I feel like it is not fair if everyone pays taxes for this. I understand if people have a kid, are hard working, and need day care but for people whom only make kids and do not care about their jobs, I think it is unacceptable. I feel like before you have a kid you need to be ready and prepared such ad a job and money. I do not think it is fair if we pay the people that make kids and think it is a free ride and they do not work or have a lousy job! Having a kid is a big deal and people should not take advantage of it. So therefore I am going to have to say no to the government providing child day care centers to working parents.

Happiness

Sure lots of people value friends and family but what are they without happiness? The thing I value the most would have to be happiness. As long as I am happy what else really matters? Nothing else really matters as long as I am filled with a smile. No one can stop me from doing what I love and being me when I am happy!
So am I the only one who values happiness? No. Am I the only one who will ever say it is important to me? No. Like John Lennon once said:
“When I was five years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I did not understand the assignment, and I told them they did not understand life.”
-John Lennon

This probably has to be my favorite quote ever because he reminds us that happiness is all we need. Just like all we need is love.

My Summer With My Best Friend.

What did I do over the summer? Honestly, I didn't do much over the summer. I spent most of the time with my boyfriend. So now that I think about it I didn't do much with anyone else, but it doesn't mean I wasted my summer. I did have some very good times with my best friends.
My favorite memory would be going to my moms work party with Sidney on August 4th. Sure Sidney and I never left our seats except to get food, but we still had more of a party then they did on the dance floor! We would make jokes and talk in dumb voices. We watched people get drunk on the dance floor and dance their hearts out. I mean nothing could be better than spending all day with your best friend laughing!
When we left and were heading home we were listening to One Direction so Sidney and I serenaded each other to their songs. We got home and built a fort in my living room and watched a musical. We laughed at the fact that musicals made it seem so normal to just break out dancing and singing! We shared nachos and drank pop in our little fort. Eventually we fell asleep while watching 'Blades of Glory'.
Early the next morning we woke up wanting pancakes and decided we would go to Wal-Mart. So early in the morning a group of three tired girls (Allie, Sidney, and I) though it would be a good idea to go to Wal-Mart. We got there and we got pancake mix and Batman Mountain Dew in a cart. We laughed as Allie and I made Sidney push around a whole shopping cart with just two items in it. That had to be the highlight of my summer.

Sara Rachael Sutorius

Sara Rachael Sutorius. How did my parents come up with my name? I mean how do you choose what to name a baby? The baby can't choose. I mean it honestly is a big deal! Naming a baby is like naming a pet, you could give them a garish name and they get no say. Your baby will be called that for the rest of their life, unless they change their name. You never know what they will be like later, they could be rambunctious or bane.
So how did my parents choose Sara? Well my parents love music and so they decided to name me after a song. What song? Sara Smile by Hall and Oates. Of course when I asked my dad why they named me Sara he told me he couldn't remember but he likes my name. When I asked my mom she told me it was the only name they could both agree on.
Sara Rachael. My mom told me they didn't have a middle name picked out when I was born, so she picked Rachael. She said if it wasn't for her I'd be Sara Kimberly (my dad's name is Kim and he wanted one of his kids to have his name). She also told me my name is impossible to put with another because it can't go with just any name. Unlike most people I would rather have my middle name instead of my first name.
Sara Rachael Sutorius, is the name I was given. My name is snow falling in the middle of December, beautiful and pristine. I would never change my name because two people who love me dearly gave it to me and I would never disrespect them. Sure I wish I had a cooler name like Kat Lennon Sutorius but I would never change who I am.

My #1 Rule: Being Honest

The most important rule to me is being honest. I think you need to be honest and not lie to them. It's better you tell someone the truth then lie to them and have them find out the truth later. The truth always hurts less when you hear it before a lie.
